Hi, I'm the guy that created the NicoTube Transpacifica page. I saw that it got removed. I was under the impression that amateurs putting their medleys under the "Medleys by Database Forum Members" was fair game. Is this not the case? To be frank, I've noticed that some of the other entries "by Database Forum Members" are of somewhat questionable quality. For example, the ones posted by DJ Lady Rainicorn (thereallynewmop12100). I do not mean this to be disparaging, but if all of those mixes are acceptable for the wiki, then I do not see why mine was not, as I believe my mix is of superior quality to theirs. | Hi, I'm the guy that created the NicoTube Transpacifica page. Original talk post
If this is somehow fair, then I will leave the page removed as it is now. Perhaps there is some rule that I have missed here? Please let me know. However, if no good reason can be provided why my medley should not be allowed on the wiki while others of inferior quality remain, then I feel the page should be reverted. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.55.224.179 (talk • contribs) 04:17, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
My thoughts
Hello, CrazyGamer339 here. Although I believe the wording in one part did make the response seem a bit aggressive (no offense, by the way) I am on your side here. If there's an composer category on this wiki dedicated to medleys by the members of this small community on the wiki and forums, I see no reason for why the page was erased. I, for one, thought it was a great concept to combine songs from all over the internet, and amazing for someone's first medley.

- I reverted the blanking. Since forum members started making medleys we've had no problem with making their own pages, except if they are for unfinished medleys (which I would prefer to keep out of the mainspace); especially with the quality here this is the sort of thing I'd want to encourage. I'll keep an eye on the page in case the person comes back. Arcorann (talk) 10:36, 2 April 2016 (PDT)

- Thanks, both of you. Sorry if I got a little snippy there. I think maybe I ought not to have said things exactly in that tone. Glad to see the page reverted though. And thanks for filling out my sources! (I got a bit lazy with those). EmperorBeef 17:06, 3 April 2016 (PDT)
