Big Three

The Big Three is a collective term for the three genres: Touhou Project, THE iDOLM@STER, and VOCALOID. These three genres are called the "Big Three" because they enjoy consistent popularity on Nico Nico Douga. They are also referred to as the "Big Three" or the "Three Major Forces".

Common Characteristics

• They have a high number of uploaded videos and viewers.
• They are likely to appear in rankings.
• They are unlikely to be taken down (important).
• Video creators can produce a wide variety of works that aren't bound by standard conventions.
• They feature diverse and appealing characters, and viewers can choose their favorite characters to some extent (there are many female characters).
• There are numerous fan-created settings.
• New works, characters, and songs are introduced at just the right intervals, so there is no shortage of content.
• The songs are very popular.
• They have low name recognition among the general public.
• All of these genres are included in a category group called the "Hall of Fame Categories" (although the "Hall of Fame Categories" designation no longer exists, they continue to belong to the category group).
