Soka Gakkai is a Japanese new religion founded in 1930 based on the teachings of the 13th-century Japanese Buddhist priest Nichiren.
Background
The most common video of Soka Gakkai is My Wonderful Life, a promotional interview with Japanese comedian, actress, singer and tarento Masami Hisamoto. In the interview section of My Wonderful Life, Masami Hisamoto gives an emotional account of how happy she felt when Daisaku Ikeda (the current leader of SGI) praised the actress for her TV performances.
