User talk:Nnd8793
Hey there! This is the first time I've ever used the talk page here before.
After almost a year working on the wiki and on the forums, I can think of at least two problems off the top of my head that should be fixed as soon as possible (within reason):
1. Our medley navigation box needs an extreme rehaul.
Currently, the MedleyNavBox is painfully out of date; however, we can't just add every single medley that's currently on the main page into the box as is - it would be far too large, and nearly impossible to locate a certain medley without using computer shortcuts. I know from researching that Seritaniji tried to group the medleys similarly to the main page back in 2010 or so, but it was crazy-looking then, and will be even more insane now that there's so many medleys.
So, I'm thinking that we should try to group the medleys in a different way. My idea is that we construct a main navigation box for arrangers themselves, and then have multiple medley navigation boxes on each medley for different situations. In other words, lots of categorization.
For example, if we were looking at Konton Jiyuusou, we could have two navigation boxes: one for the arrangers, and one for listing only medleys done by FLAG. Another good example would be The Medley of Kirby SSDX, where multiple navigation boxes could be used: one for the arrangers, one for medleys by hapi, a third box for Kirby-oriented medleys (maybe not songs, though - that would be too much work!) and possibly a fourth box since it's technically a theme medley.
2. We just need more people doing useful stuff!
Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I'm fairly certain that xXtouhoumarioXx and I are the only ones who are actually contributing anything to the wiki these days, no offense. There is still so much more work to do just in terms of creating and editing medley pages, never mind figuring out lyrics for medleys, song pages and all this other categorizing stuff I've mentioned. We need more help!
Now that I've said all that, what do you guys think? Nnd8793 19:35, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
