Notes & Trivia

  • This song from Pokemon is notoriously famous on the internet for the famous creepypasta, "Lavender Town Syndrome." (also known as "Lavender Town Tone" or "Lavender Town Suicides")

It's said that it was a peak in suicides and illness of children between the ages of 7-12 shortly after the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan, back in February 27, 1996.

The creepypasta also follows up to it being rumors saing that these suicides and illnesses only occurred after the children playing the game reached Lavender Town; The theme music had "extremely high frequencies," that studies showed that only children and young teens can hear, since their ears are more sensible to the frequencies.

After the release of the creepypasta, more and more creepypasta material we're coming out on the internet, like "Lost Silver," and more.
