• The medley's title is a play on "The Golden Triangle of Destiny", the episode of Sesame Street the octagon segment originated from. It could also be a reference to Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, a film starring Jack Black and his band Tenacious D.
• Various Easter eggs are present in the video:
  • In the Viva Happy segment, images of Jack Black can be seen in the small orbs when the stadium is shown. The record players and speakers feature the profile picture for JablinskiGames, Jack Black's YouTube channel, as well as "how to draw with Tenacious D".
  • In the WarioWare segment, the Jack Boy Advance says "Sesame", and the cartridge says "ELMO content rated by JACK". It also says CFM-WAZG-GAY, a reference to the phrase "Wazgul is gay", which is used in many octagon videos.
  • In the Rock My Emotions segment, the leaves of the plants are in the shapes of octagons. Later on, the text "We found an octagon" shows up in the video editor and the sides of the shapes Jack flies into correspond to the numbers that are said.
  • The title screen for the Castlevania segment has many:
    • "Sesami" is in place of Konami.
    • The game was published in 1988 rather than 1986, referencing the eight sides of an octagon.
    • It says to push a "stop" key rather than a "start" key.
    • The game is licensed by "viewers like you", a reference to the beginning funding credits for PBS shows.
  • When Jack gets sucked into a vortex in the Fort Francis segment, a Virtual Boy gets sucked with him.
  • In the Keep Moving, Kirby! ~ Hilltop Chase segment, one of the titles on the corkboard says "Can't Stop Elmo", and later on camera zooms into "Gourmet Shapes".
  • During the race, Elmo picks up shapes whose sides correspond to the number Jack says.
  • The stained glass window in the In the Hall of the Mountain King segment has the number 8 on it.
  • The sticky note in the Kill Me no Baby! segment says "perfect octagon shape (do not steal)”.
  • The Overdrive segment also has many:
    • There is an octagon-shaped moon in the background when Jack repeats Elmo's name, and it has the word “STOP” on it if looked very closely.
    • Elmo and Jack have Tewi’s rabbit ears when presenting the octagon; with Jack having her hair as well.
    • When Jack shows up next to Reisen jumping, Reisen's rabbit symbols turn into octagons, the Japanese text "ウサギは" changes to "OCTAGON", and the color changes to the red color of a stop sign.
    • The arrows on Jack's side of the Dance Dance Revolution game he is playing against Reisen are octagons.
  • The Big Blue segment is filled with references to Manatsu no Yo no Inmu, a popular but NSFW MAD source in Nico Nico Douga, starting with Jack Black landing on TNOK while confronting TDN and friends to asking Yajuu Senpai and TONO about Elmo and even NYN from the third Kusso☆ voice drama, the Yajuu Senpai guitar BB edit makes an appearance with Jack Black's head over it as well, the segment finally ends with Elmo holding Gota Nishidera's head from ENJOYEE! (YOUR LIFETIME) as an octagon, the original Big Black video does the same by referencing Big Yajue, one of the most popular MADs of Big Blue with multiple variations of the song using the same source.
  • In the bottom right-hand corner of the Ochame Kinou segment, Jack is seen doing the floss dance until Elmo stops him.
  • In the Ryukenden segment, some of the images shown in the reel include Jack‘s head swapped with the stop sign, Ty Burrell holding a hexagon, and Jack transforming into Pepsi Man.
  • The Bonetrousle segment has several:
    • Elmo and Jack appear as Papyrus and Sans, respectively, on the sides of the screen.
    • Annoying Dog appears at the bottom and rests.
    • Jack is at level 8 and he has 8 HP, again referencing the 8 sides of an octagon.
    • There are exactly eight stop signs in the battle display.
  • Stephanie and Sportacus are hidden in the background of the We Are Number One segment.
  • In the Second Heaven segment, the sun is shaped like an octagon.
  • The stop sign in the middle of the Bloomin' feeling segment displays images from 8 Sides of Nico Nico Douga when Jack says “8 fantastic sides” and then images from 8 Awesome Angles of YouTube!! when he says “8 awesome angles”.
• Bonfire, Rock My Emotions, In the Hall of the Mountain King, We Are Number One, and Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown) are the only songs in the medley that did not originate from a video game, anime, or Vocaloid/UTAULoid.
  • The aforementioned songs as well as Focus and Bonetrousle are the only songs that did not originate from Japan.
• Tik Tok, a song by Ke$ha, was planned to appear in the Zoomzoom part as a reference to this video, but was cut due to not fitting enough. [1]
