- "Gossun" is also the sound of pounding something into something
- "Yi er san" is Chinese for 1, 2, 3; it is also a pun on "ii asa", or good morning in Japanese
- "Eins, zwei" is read "Ain, Tsubain"
- "Hi fu mi" is from older-style Japanese counting (hitotsu futatsu mittsu yottsu etc.), also the notes of the musical scale
- "Dawn to" is also puns a stomping sound effect or a heavy pain "dontsuu"
