Here are the tentative standards for listing tracks on this wiki. The eventual intent is to include policies on source listing and usage of romanised/translated titles.
Contents
General
- Where there exists a commonly used alternate title for a song, it should be listed in italics directly after the song title.
Example: Doraemo~n! (The song that plays when Suneo is bragging to his friends) -- Doraemon BGM
Touhou Project
Entries for songs from the Touhou Project series should have the internal link on "Touhou", followed by the full title of the game and the BGM acronym as shown below. If unsure about these names, check Touhou Wiki.
EX 1: Necrofantasia -- Touhou Youyoumu ~ Perfect Cherry Blossom. BGM
EX 2: Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess -- Touhou Eiyashou ~ Imperishable Night. BGM
If the song is a remix, put the the internal link on "Touhou Project", followed by the name of the remixer with the following phrase: arrangement by _____.
EX 3: Night of Nights -- Touhou Project arrangement by beatMARIO (COOL&CREATE)
Vocaloid/UTAU
Entries for the songs from the Vocaloid program should have the internal link on the source, followed by who was singing in parentheses and who created the song.
EX 1: Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru♪ -- Vocaloid (Hatsune Miku) song by ika
Entries for the songs from the UTAU program should have the internal link on the source, the following in capital letters, followed by who was singing in parentheses and who created the song.
EX 1: Ochame Kinou (Fukkireta) -- UTAU (Kasane Teto) song by Gojimaji-P
To determine if a video link is needed, simply do an online search of the Romaji name. If the song is easily accessible on YouTube under the Romaji name, then a video link isn't needed, since the song can easily be looked up. However, if the song can only be found by searching the Kanji title, as is the case for the example below, then it would be good to have a video link.

THE IDOLM@STER
Entries for songs from the IDOLM@STER series should always use the "@" for "A" and have the source name in capital letters, use the "playable song" sentence in lowercase in the end of the source. Where the song originates from a CD, use the CD title instead. The game or CD title must be capitalised correctly. If unsure, please check Project-imas wiki.

Anime
If the anime already has a page on this wiki, you should use the internal link on the name of the anime; if not, do not make the title of the series a link. Use the acronyms OP, ED (for the words "Opening" and "Ending" respectively) after the source. If the song is not a opening or a ending, use "insert song" at the end, or "BGM" if the song is instrumental. If the song originates from a CD, the song should be either a character song or an extra song that only appears on the CD.

EX 3: Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite. -- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya character song (Yuki Nagato)

EX 5: Kaeshite! Knee Socks -- Lucky Star Motteke! Sailor Fuku CD
EX 6: Ne-Ni-Ge de Reset! -- Lucky Star character song (Tsukasa Hiiragi)
Original songs
Entries for songs from bands should use the internal link on the name of the song and use the sentence "Song by ___" after the name of the band.

Video games
Entries for songs from video games should use the acronym BGM in the end, after the name of the source.
EX 1: Beware the Forest's Mushrooms -- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars BGM
BEMANI
Entries for songs from BEMANI games should have the internal link in the source name if a page has been created for it, followed by the first game that the song was playable in. If unsure about this, check RemyWiki for those details.

Movies
Entries for songs from movies should have the year the movie was released in parenthesis and the acronym OST.

Commercials
Entries for songs or jingles from commercials should have the company the jingle originated from, followed by "commercial" and how the jingle was used. If a page for the jingle does not exist on the wiki, then a video link is recommended if possible.
